Crosslands is looking for an Operations Manager and/or Academic Registrar


Crosslands is growing and looking to recruit an Operations Manager and/or academic registrar to join our core team to:

  • Support our students, faculty and external partners;
  • Provide an outstanding student experience;
  • Ensure the smooth running of our activities; and
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of Crosslands.

While substantial aspects of the role(s) can be undertaken working from home anywhere in Europe, some parts of the role(s) will require the flexibility to travel up to a week at a time, several times a year.

We are flexible about whether this will be one full-time or two part-time roles, and we are open to applications from candidates whose experience, availability and flexibility may only suit part of the role profile.

Key areas of responsibility:

The list below sets out all the areas of work that our operations team needs to cover between them.  Depending on the field of applicants, we aim to adjust the eventual job description(s) to make best use of the skills and strengths of the right individual(s).

We are not expecting one person to encompass all these skills and experience!

Therefore, the job will include:

  • Academic administration: managing the processes and records that underpin our MA accreditation with our external partner (enrolment, attendance, recording marking, moderation, credit transfer, awards and appeals);

  • Student liaison: enquiries and admissions; ongoing contact management; interfacing with tutors to identify, track and help resolve student issues as they

  • Seminary Course residentials: planning and delivering end-to-end logistics for several week-long residential events each year (venue, catering, participant registration, co-ordination of timetables, supporting faculty members).  Note that this requires Travel.

  • Finance & bookkeeping: tracking fee payments, supplier payments, banking and basic financial reporting.

  • Social media: maintaining and updating our social media presence; driving traffic on our social media accounts and website.

  • Conference, events and marketing support: helping to promote Crosslands to a wider audience by attending selected conferences or events each year, and/or providing supporting materials and arrangements for others to attend events where Crosslands can be promoted. Note that this requires travel.

  • Translation programme management: – compiling regular updates on our extensive (and growing!) translation programme, identifying risks and roadblocks that need addressing, and raising ‘help needed’ flags when appropriate.

  • Faculty & board support: organising board and faculty meetings, taking notes and providing follow up as needed. 

Terms and Conditions

  • Base salary £20-25k (GBP), depending on experience and qualifications.

  • This is a permanent position.

  • Standard Crosslands Terms and Conditions apply, including holidays and pensions.

  • Flexibility for frequent travel to Crosslands HQ in UK and an ability to travel across Europe and 10:40 window is important.

  • As a result of our Christian ethos, the successful applicant will be expected to be a practising Christian in good standing with their local church and able to sign the Crosslands Statement of Faith.
